Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Charge Nurse for dialysis units to oversee patient care operations. The role involves managing patient PODs, setting up and stringing Fresenius machines, and ensuring quality clinical workflow during a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Lead nursing teams to deliver high-quality dialysis care across multiple stations.
  
  
• 
  Set up, operate, and troubleshoot dialysis machines including Fresenius systems.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient status, record charts accurately, and respond promptly to complications.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient flow and safety.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
  
  
• 
  Provide mentorship and support to staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid NY RN license is required at the time of submission.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of dialysis nursing and charge nurse experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong technical skills in running a 4-patient POD and machine setup.
  
  
• 
  Proficient in charting with EPIC or related electronic medical records.
  
  
• 
  Able to work 36 hours weekly, including rotating weekends and holidays.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of outpatient and chronic dialysis settings is essential.
