As a Step Down Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to patients transitioning from intensive care, ensuring their comfort and recovery. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, utilize your clinical expertise, and support patients and their families through critical moments. Your dedication will contribute significantly to positive patient outcomes and the ongoing success of our healthcare facility.

Required Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of employment
• EPIC electronic health record experience (1st timers accepted)
• Strong clinical skills in step-down or similar units
• Ability to work a 3x12-Hour Night shift (19:00 - 07:00)
• Knowledge of patient assessment, monitoring, and intervention
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with ICU or step-down units
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Comfort with night shift work
• Flexibility to cover every other weekend

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent RN experience in a step-down, ICU, or similar environment
• Proven ability to adapt quickly in diverse clinical settings

Other Requirements:

• Valid certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Willingness to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Travel reimbursement or related expenses covered when applicable
• Completion of onboarding and compliance with hospital policies
