Inpatient Therapy Team Lead – Rehab/Skilled Nursing

Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Therapy Services and the Inpatient Therapy Manager, the Inpatient Therapy Team Lead – Rehab/Skilled Nursing provides clinical and operational leadership for inpatient therapy services within the skilled nursing service area. This role coordinates and supports the delivery of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology services focused on rehabilitation, functional recovery, and patient progression. The Team Lead maintains a patient care caseload while providing clinical guidance, operational oversight, staffing coordination, and support for quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and team member development to promote safe, evidence-based rehabilitative care and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy OR Graduated from an accredited Speech Language Pathology Program required
• Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology preferred
• Advanced degree in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Language preferred
• Current or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology required
• BLS Certification required
• Membership in state and national professional organizations preferred
• At least three years of clinical experience in licensed discipline required
• At least three years of clinical experience in rehab and/or skilled nursing setting required
• Leadership experience preferred

Essential Job Duties:

• Coordinates therapy programming, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of therapy-related programs, that supports functional rehabilitation, interdisciplinary care planning, and patient progression throughout the inpatient rehab and skilled nursing stay.
• Coordinates staffing needs to meet patient care needs while supporting budgetary guidelines.
• Assists with scheduling therapy team members as assigned.
• Monitors functional outcome measures, rehabilitation progression, length of stay, and discharge readiness within the inpatient rehab and skilled nursing service area.
• Assists with the recruitment, interview, selection, and onboarding of therapy staff.
• Coordinates orientation and maintains records of initial and ongoing competencies for inpatient therapy staff.
