Human Resources Business Partner

SUMMARYThe HR Business Partner supports core HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, compliance, performance management, and employee relations, while helping streamline and modernize HR processes across the organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESServe as the first point of contact for employee questions and HR inquiriesMaintain personnel records, data accuracy and generate reports in the HRISEnsure consistent application of HR policies and proceduresManage full cycle recruitment, including posting open roles, maintaining and creating position seats in the system, job postings, screening candidates, and extending job offersManage pre-employment checks and hiring related complianceFacilitate a consistent, compliant new hire onboarding processSupport performance review cycles, goal tracking, and manager trainingConduct investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations as neededAdminister the LMS, including assignments, completions, and reportingTrack required training, including safety, harassment prevention, and certificationsEnsure compliance with employment law and company policySupport FMLA, ADA, and leave administration, including tracking and documentationMaintain current knowledge of HR best practices and employment law updatesProvide backup support for payroll processing as neededContribute to internal communications that strengthen workplace cultureWORK LOCATIONHybrid, based in Houston, TXEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE3 to 5 years of HR experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 7 to 10 years in an HR roleSHRM-CP or PHR certification preferredStrong knowledge of employment law, recruiting, performance management, and benefits administrationStrong proficiency in Paycom requiredExcellent organizational, written and verbal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretionSKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret policy, prepare clear documentation, and present information to employees at all levels. Solid analytical skills, including comfort with HR metrics, ratios, and reporting. Sound judgment and problem-solving ability in situations with limited standardization.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSStandard professional office environment with periodic travel to the Houston office. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
