For more information, visit Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for producing accurate project financial reporting and submit on a monthly basis to Corporate Finance. Track financial status by monitoring variances from forecasts. Organize monthly Finance Calendar activities. Prepare monthly accruals for submission to corporate finance. Review time sheet corrections for accuracy and submit to Corporate Finance for approval and processing. Monitor fulfillment expenses against forecast assumptions. Review incoming vendor invoices for accuracy, and provide appropriate codes and monitor payment status. Perform research and provide additional clarifications. Publish monthly Project Financial Dashboard and Labor Reports to Project Management. Hybrid Role This is a hybrid role. Candidate should be within commutable distance to Maximus headquarters in Mclean, VA as some on-site days will be required. The MAXIMUS Finance Rotational Program Prepares account reconciliations and various analyses supporting month end/quarter end financials Prepares timely and accurate financial reports supporting operational finance Ensures contract compliance on all activities Assists with SEC reporting and internal audit Build and maintain working relationships with operating and other finance groups and provide them with subject matter expertise assistance Assist with special projects as required Assist the Assistant Controller with coordination of information flow with both internal and external auditors Performs other duties as may be assigned by management Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 0-3 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications Must be an undergraduate senior actively pursuing a Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or similar field Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Official Start Date The official start date for the Finance Rotational Program is August 2027. In certain cases, candidates who have previously interned with Maximus may be considered for an off-cycle start date, subject to business need and appropriate approvals.
