Assistant Director / Donor Relations And Stewardship

The primary responsibilities of this position are to develop and manage donor relations and stewardship processes for the Chippewa Athletic Fund (CAF). This includes but is not limited to executing daily, monthly, and annual stewardship processes, gift transmittal and acknowledgement, database/data management, generating donation reports, and special event planning and execution.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree or a combination of education and work experience that equates to at least four years. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are necessary, along with a team-oriented customer service mindset, proven time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and carry out multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft e-mail, Excel, Word, and online applications is also required.

Preferred qualifications include experience in fundraising at the collegiate level, experience using a customer relationship management database (CRM), knowledge of graphic design software, knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations to ensure institutional compliance with athletics development initiatives, and the ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information.

Duties and responsibilities include executing and managing overall Chippewa Athletic Fund (CAF) donor relations and stewardship programming, coordinating CAF stewardship policies and processes, leading the CAF gift transmittal process, planning and implementing donor special events, running donation reports, pulling data for analysis, and coordinating data for solicitations and communications. The position also involves coordinating gift acknowledgement process, implementing appropriate recognition and stewardship efforts for all donors, supporting the fundraising team with gift tracking, acknowledgement delivery, and other communication, and managing data for direct mailings/merges/solicitations.

The position is located in Mount Pleasant, MI, and is full-time with a weekly work schedule of Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. / weekends and evenings as needed. The pay range is $43,000 - $50,000.
