Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Copperfield Orthopedic Rehab Clinic, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality, patient-centered care by managing therapeutic processes for an assigned patient group in collaboration with medical colleagues.
• Conducting thorough patient assessments and actively participating in the development of customized care plans that focus on achieving specific recovery goals.
• Implementing effective treatment interventions within the guidelines of legal and ethical standards, ensuring that every patient receives care that is not only effective but also promotes a positive recovery experience.
• Monitoring and evaluating patients' therapeutic and functional status, adjusting treatment plans as needed to meet evolving health requirements.
• Providing skilled therapy directly in patients' homes, employing innovative techniques and exercises that align with the physician's treatment plan to optimize functional recovery.
• Educating patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic practices, exercises, and the use of therapeutic devices outside of scheduled sessions to reinforce recovery efforts.
• Prioritizing your caseloads, managing daily staffing needs, and coordinating assignments to ensure seamless hand-offs within the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our clinic is on orthopedic patients with a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with diverse patient demographics, including adults recovering from surgery and children undergoing rehabilitation for sports injuries or congenital conditions. Your role directly impacts their physical function, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or the willingness to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
• New graduates are welcome; previous clinical experience is not mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While no prior experience is required, candidates with practical knowledge in orthopedic rehabilitation or experience in home health care will be given preference. Skills in patient engagement and custom care plan development will enhance your candidacy.
