Clinical Services Position

Clinical Services contributes to Cardinal Health by providing high quality, patient-centered care focused on diagnosing, treating, and managing care while ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of the practice. Clinical Services are responsible for medical services that directly or indirectly provide healthcare to patients.

Responsibilities

• Processing and tracking patient referrals
• Communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to obtain necessary patient information
• Ensuring all referral paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Verifying patient insurance coverage for the referred services
• Scheduling patient appointments with specialist providers
• Answering patient inquiries regarding the referral process
• Maintaining updated records of patient referrals and outcomes
• Manage Providers schedule and appointments

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience, preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Medical Office experience with dealing with referrals required
• Customer service experience
