About the role
Ying Peng MD PhD Inc., a pediatric neurology practice in Ladera Ranch, CA, is seeking a full-time pre-med or pre-PA medical assistant. We are looking for a motivated team player with a great attitude who works quickly and accurately. No MA certification is needed, since we will train you on the job, but we prefer candidates with some healthcare experience. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
We offer a caring, supportive training environment, and Dr. Peng wants to see you learn and succeed. You may have opportunities to shadow patient consultations and to scribe for Dr. Peng.
Qualifications
- Recent bachelor's degree graduate
- Minimum GPA of 3.8, with a transcript required (an unofficial transcript is acceptable for initial review)
- Experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) system
- One year of ambulatory care experience preferred
- Above all, we want someone who works hard, has a genuine passion for learning, and is intellectually curious and engaged
Commitment
We prefer candidates who can commit to approximately two years.
