Software Engineer IIIKavaliro is seeking a Software Engineer III to support a client in Fort Meade, MD. We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong experience developing and supporting cloud-native, microservices-based applications in a mission environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Java and Spring, containerized deployments, Kubernetes orchestration, and system monitoring, and can operate effectively within an Agile, multidisciplinary team.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring frameworksBuild, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and containerSupport container orchestration using KubernetesMonitor system health and performance using Grafana and PrometheusUse Git for source control and collaborative developmentParticipate in Agile development processes, including planning, standups, and retrospectivesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutionsRequired Qualifications:Experience using the Linux command line interfaceExperience developing microservices using Java and SpringHands-on experience with Docker and containerExperience with Kubernetes container orchestrationExperience with system monitoring tools such as Grafana and PrometheusExperience using Git for version controlDesired Qualifications:Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including GitLab CI and ArgoCDExperience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for data indexing and retrievalExperience with Apache NiFi for dataflow management and ingestionExperience with the Amazon HCI platformStrong debugging, documentation, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in an Agile, multidisciplinary team environmentLocation:Fort Meade, MDThis position is onsite and there is no remote availability.Clearance Requirement:Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.Applicant MUST hold a permanent U.S. citizenship for this position in accordance with government contract requirements.Kavaliro provides Equal Employment Opportunities to all employees and applicants.
