The global supply chain also encompasses cultured and wild species sourced from an international network of trusted suppliers.Summary: The Operational Excellence Manager (OpEx) is responsible for deploying Trident Performance System (TPS) strategy; and utilize Lean 6 Sigma Manufacturing methodology to drive operational process improvements that support Trident Seafoods SCUBA Program (Supply Chain Unlimited Business Acceleration). This position will develop and execute Lean 6 Sigma projects & Kaizen events across multiple Trident’s Alaska locations. The individual will provide mentoring, coaching and training as needed to support the use of the Operational Excellence methodology and tools such as TPM/Lean/Six Sigma. This position will be responsible for deploying and leading the transformation with a goal of improved safety, quality, cost, productivity, service, and employee engagement. Essential Functions:Lead Zero Loss Analysis, Lean 6 Sigma projects and Kaizen events at Alaska plant locationsEnsure successful Kaizen events by ensuring commitment to the process which may include: 1) planning the Kaizen, 2) facilitating the Kaizen, and 3) ensuring the sustainment of the improvements.Collaborate with various departments and functions in identifying and selecting projects that are aligned to key business prioritiesShare best practices within and across plantsProvide project management and governance as neededAct as a change agent, systematically driving use of TPS for continuous improvement and change throughout the operationsCreate metric reportingEnsure SCUBA savings and other KPI targets are achievedProvide thought leadership within the operations and within the OpEx TeamEffectively collaborate and build strong relationships with local and enterprise teamsInfluence local teams with the adoption of TPSPerform other responsibilities and tasks as assignedAcquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainingsRegularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.The essential functions listed above are not exhaustive. Compensation & Benefits:This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $130,000 to $160,000.Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Most travel is planned, project based.Required Qualifications:At least 3+ years of cross-functional Operations and/or Operational Excellence experienceExperience in successful planning, facilitation & completion of Kaizen events & 6 Sigma projectsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related Technical fieldExperience and passion for introducing new techniques (i.e. change agent)Strong leadership, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving mindsetAnalytical aptitude – ability to collect and analyze data and think systematicallyAbility to influence and drive changeResults oriented with excellent project and time management skillsBusiness sense – ability to understand how changes will drive the right business resultsProficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookProficiency in data analysisPreferred Education & Experiences:SAP experience preferredLean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferredMinitab preferred Work Environment:This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise.
