BEFORE YOU APPLY

We require at least 6 months of professional grooming experience. Applications without it will not be considered - please don't apply if you're hoping to learn on the job. (We do have a separate bather-to-groomer training path if that's where you're at!)

WHY GROOMERS ACTUALLY STAY AT SCENTHOUND

• No complicated breed cuts. We do functional puppy cuts (one length all-over, neat face) with light customizations. Less stress for the dog, less strain on your body, more dogs done per day.
• Predictable schedule. Closed Sundays. Home by 6.
• Membership model means consistent dogs and consistent income. You see the same pups regularly and build real relationships - no feast-or-famine walk-in chaos.
• Drama-free shop culture. We mean it. Ask us about it in the interview.
• Your craft is respected. No one is rushing you into unsafe situations or pushing cuts that don't fit the dog.

THE PAY AND PERKS

• Competitive hourly base plus tips
• Performance-based raises
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Paid time off (full-time)
• Free monthly Scenthound membership for your own dog
• Leadership development and multi-location growth opportunities
• Birthday shoutouts, snacks, recognition - the small stuff that makes a workplace feel like home

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide safe, high-quality grooming using Scenthound's wellness-focused approach (Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, Teeth). Mentor bathers and groomers-in-training. Help keep the schedule on track and the shop running smoothly. Maintain our cleanliness and safety standards.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 6+ months of professional grooming experience (non-negotiable)
• Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for long periods
• A team player who communicates well with both dogs and humans
• Someone who actually likes mentoring less-experienced team members
• Reliable. Shows up. Does the work.
