Own the People Function

Take ownership of the HR function within a hands-on manufacturing organization. The HR department needs more than someone to maintain processes, it needs a leader who can take ownership of the function and make it work for the people and the business. As the organization's sole HR leader, you will have meaningful influence across the entire employee lifecycle, from bringing the right people in and helping managers lead effectively to navigating employee relations, performance, compliance, payroll, benefits, and the day-to-day issues that come with a growing operation.

This is a visible, hands-on leadership position. The expectation is to understand what is happening, make sound recommendations, coach people through difficult situations, and follow through until the work is done.

Is This You?

You may find yourself drawn to this role if you enjoy being the person people come to when something is complicated, unclear, or difficult. You read people well, can build credibility with both an operator and an executive, and know that effective HR often comes down to helping a manager have a better conversation.

You are comfortable addressing tension rather than avoiding it. You can listen carefully, remain fair, and still be direct when a situation calls for it. You like developing supervisors and helping people recognize where someone can contribute, grow, or improve.

You also appreciate the details. Documentation needs to hold up. Policies need to make sense. Compliance matters.

Most importantly, you want to own HR. You like being close to the work, adapting when priorities change, and being accountable for the outcome, not simply providing support from the sidelines.
