Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certified

Location: Mount Vernon, WA | Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory SVH | Schedule: Variable | Position Type: Full Time 0.6 FTE or More | FTE: 1.000000 | Base Wage: $57.54 to $83.89

Job Summary: Performs a broad range of cardiovascular procedures ranging from cardiac catheterizations, interventional radiology and electrophysiology. Expectations of this role include an ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a fast-paced work environment. Day-to-day expectations include scrubbing, boothing and circulating a range of procedures. Location/Department specific tasks and competencies may also apply.

Essential Functions: Consistently and accurately performs a broad range of cardiovascular procedures per established guidelines and in accordance with prescribed safety standards for operation of equipment. Strong ability to communicate effectively and cooperatively in a team based workplace. Ensure quality of procedure results by supporting physicians in scrubbing, boothing and circulating. Complete all documentation in an accurate and timely manner per established guidelines. Maintain examination and dressing room, supplies and equipment per established guidelines. Order and process examinations in an accurate and timely manner per established guidelines. Maintain current knowledge of trends, regulation, equipment, policies and procedures pertaining to functional area. Maintain ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work. Department software ranges from PACS, EPIC, Xpers, Micropace and Cardiolab. Actively contribute to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities. Complete all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner. Maintain current licensure and/or certification as required. Attend and actively participate in all department, team and/or committee meetings. Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department and location specific policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Education: High School diploma or GED required. Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technologist and/or cardiovascular technologist training program.

Experience/Training: One (1) year experience performing a broad range of cardiovascular procedures.

License/Certifications: Current and unrestricted Washington State Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and/or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS and American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider ACLS required.

Other Skills: Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications to perform work. Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills required. Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Knowledge of the healthcare environment required. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime and weekend work).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
