Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for cardiac cath lab and EP procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and handle any emergent situations during interventions.
• Assist physicians with catheterization, pacemaker placements, TEE, stress tests, and other complex procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, procedure details, and post-procedure care.
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies at all times.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure with at least 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures like PCI, pacemakers, TEE, stress testing, and loop recorders.
• CPR and ACLS/BLS certifications required; preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach.
