ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

Job TitleEssential dutiesResponsibility and authority for quality of own work.Perform work in accordance with Travelers / Operation sheetsPerform any of the following:Follow instructions on cleaning and drying the parts - Perform various tests ensuring integrity & function of Part as a whole.Threaded insert replacement - Local surface treatment applicationHand drilling using jigs - Epoxy ApplicationAssure that the production traveler is properly signed for accountability.Use care in the handling of components.Perform Preventive Maintenance on machines / equipment.Responsible for care and use of calibrated measuring instruments and their timely return for required calibration.Observe all Safety requirements in shop area and maintain good-housekeeping practices at all timesPerform all other duties as required.Qualifications and education requirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required. Prior experience with complex aerospace parts is preferred.Physical RequirementsRegularly lift 30-50 pounds with assistanceRegularly perform repetitive tasksRegularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accuratelySpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusPre-employment requirementsAlcohol and Drug Screen, Background Check
