Location: 2800 West Grand Boulevard, Detroit, MI

Start Date: As soon as possible after hire

Duration: Permanent position

Shift: Flexible, primarily outpatient with inpatient responsibilities

Hours/Week: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Employment Type: Employed, full-time

License/Certs: Medical license for Michigan, DEA, ACLS, PALS, Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology

Experience: Minimum required, no entry-level applicants

Pay: $500,000 - $550,000 annually (based on experience); Hourly rate: $1.00 (as per salary low)

What You'll Do

• Provide expert hematology and oncology clinical care across multiple hospitals and clinics
• Lead and oversee a team of over 40 physicians and advanced practice providers
• Manage strategic initiatives within the Cancer Service Line
• Support academic growth and mentor early-career investigators
• Participate in research, including clinical trials and precision medicine initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain clinical practice (~25%) and engage in leadership, research, and administrative duties

What You Need

Required:

• Hematology/Oncology fellowship completion
• Medical license in Michigan
• DEA, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
• Minimum of X years' experience in a leadership role within an academic or large health system

Preferred:

• Prior leadership experience (e.g., Vice Chair, Program Director, Division Head)
• Experience overseeing research and academic programs
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
