The organization's programs encompass a wide range of services, including public charter schools, restorative justice programs in jails and prisons, shelters, permanent supportive housing, and the development of new housing and support programs. Qualifications
The School Psychological Services Administrative Coordinator reports to the Assistant Directors of Special Education and is accountable for supporting and overseeing the delivery of school psychological services within the Special Education Department. This position supports the recruitment, onboarding, training and supervision of School Psychology interns, and serves as a resource to School Psychologists, Education Specialists, Administrators, and educational teams to ensure students receive appropriate psychoeducational assessment, IEP, and counseling support.
The Coordinator collaborates closely with School Psychologists to support student assessments, psychological reports, IEP participation, counseling services, and multidisciplinary team processes. They will provide direct guidance, counseling, training, intern supervision, and psychological service coordination. They may conduct assessments, prepare reports, and provide compliance oversight to ensure services align with best practices, PPS credentialing standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
School Psychology Intern Recruitment and Supervision
- Recruit, screen, onboard, and train School Psychology interns in partnership with university PPS credential programs
- Serve as the primary field supervisor of record for School Psychology interns, meeting university-required supervision hours and documentation standards
- Establish and maintain formal agreements with university PPS School Psychology programs for internship placements
- Provide regular individual and group supervision to interns, including case review, feedback on assessment practices, and professional development
- Evaluate intern performance and provide progress reports to university programs as required
- Support intern transition into full School Psychologist roles, including guidance on credentialing requirements and job placement within the organization
Program Support and Oversight
- Oversee the implementation of school psychological services across assigned regions
- Provide support, guidance, coaching, and oversight to School Psychologists to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with program requirements
- Facilitate regular meetings with School Psychologists and interns to review student needs, service delivery expectations, documentation requirements, and best practices
- Monitor service delivery, documentation, and progress reporting to ensure compliance with IEP requirements and departmental expectations
- Collaborate with Education Specialists, Transition Managers, and Administrators to coordinate psychological and mental health supports for students
- Assist with maintaining systems for tracking assessments, service delivery, and program compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve student access to psychoeducational and mental health supports
- Serve as a resource to educational teams regarding assessment practices, psychological services, and social-emotional supports
Assessment and Direct Service Support
- Conduct or assist with psychoeducational, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments as needed
- Prepare and review psychological and psychoeducational assessment reports, with an emphasis on factors influencing educational performance
- Participate in multidisciplinary assessments, Student Support Team (SST) meetings, manifestation determinations, IEP meetings, case reviews, and related meetings. Provide individual, small group, or family counseling as needed to support students' social-emotional needs
- Assist educational teams in developing appropriate social-emotional goals, behavioral supports, progress monitoring systems, and service recommendations
- Support the development of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and behavior support recommendations
- Provide supplemental assessment, counseling, and case management support during staff vacancies, leaves, or periods of increased student need
Consultation, Training, and Collaboration
- Advise and support administrative staff, educational teams, and community partners regarding appropriate psychological and mental health referrals
- Provide training to School Psychologists, interns, educational staff, and parents regarding assessment practices, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral supports
- Collaborate with educational and community agencies to implement effective service plans for students
- Provide consultation to staff regarding assessment, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health concerns affecting student success
- Promote practices that support positive school climate, student engagement, and educational access
Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with program requirements, special education regulations, and applicable laws
- Support compliance with IDEA, California Education Code, and organizational policies related to psychological and assessment services
- Monitor assessment timelines and service delivery to ensure compliance with IEP requirements
- Complete required reports, records, and documentation within established timelines.

Knowledge and Skills
- Proficient in psychoeducational assessment practices, report writing, and therapeutic methods appropriate to meet the needs of students experiencing educational difficulties and trauma.
- Knowledge of school psychology service delivery, special education processes, and behavioral intervention practices.
- Thorough understanding of psychological consultation, assessment interpretation, social-emotional supports, and behavioral intervention models.
- Working knowledge of PPS credentialing requirements and university internship/field supervision expectations.
- Ability to identify student social-emotional and psychoeducational needs and work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary educational support team.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with School Psychologists, interns, Education Specialists, Administrators, Transition Managers, and community partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively explain complex issues to staff, students, parents, and outside agencies.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and provide professional development to staff and interns.
- Advanced proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and databases
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality and take all precautions when handling sensitive information
- Ability to effectively and efficiently work from home and independently, with high levels of self-accountability
