Insurance Customer Service Representative

Job Description Job Description Join our growing team at Flanagan Mills Insurance Agency in this client-facing role where you’ll provide customer service and support to our home, auto, and business insurance clients! We’re looking for someone who thrives in a customer service environment, enjoys problem-solving, takes initiative, and brings a calm and professional energy to the workplace. This is not a call center position.
What Youll Do:
Be the first point of contact—answer phones, greet walk-in clients, and assist with customer inquiries
Build strong relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication
Provide information on home, auto, and business insurance products
Handle client concerns with patience and empathy, offering solutions and following up to ensure resolution
Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate documentation
Assist with claims, policy changes, and other customer service-related tasks
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Must be able to work onsite in our Rochester, NY office
1 year of client advocacy/client service experience required
P&C insurance license (preferred & willing train)
Previous Insurance experience (preferred)
Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
Detail-oriented and computer savvy
Patient, empathetic, and solution-driven
Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in all interactions
