Shipping And Receiving Assistant

CoWorx Staffing Services is now hiring a Shipping and Receiving Assistant in Bloomfield, CT! The Shipping & Receiving Assistant will support daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, picking and packing orders, inventory control, and organizing materials.

Responsibilities:

Pick and pack orders for daily shipments.
Assist with picking and organizing parts for orders that are ready for assembly.
Package orders and prepare them for shipment.
Ship outgoing orders using UPS WorldShip and FedEx shipping systems.
Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies and order-related issues.
Create barcodes and other required labels for customer orders.
Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy, and put products away in designated storage locations.
Load and unload trucks using a forklift and manually when necessary.

Desired Background/Skills:

12 years of experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with RF scanning and barcoding is a plus.
Previous experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx, DHL, or freight shipping preferred.
Basic computer skills and the ability to utilize company and vendor software systems.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
