About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's growth and potential IPO. The CFO will be responsible for leading the company's financial strategy, with a central focus on IPO readiness, capital markets, and establishing the financial infrastructure necessary to support the next stage of growth. This includes developing a capital strategy that aligns with the clinical pipeline, building investor relationships, and ensuring the company is prepared for the demands of a public market. The successful candidate will also be involved in long-range financial planning, budgeting, and capital allocation, and will provide financial leadership across business development activities. Ideal candidates for the CFO position at the company will have a unique blend of Wall Street transaction experience and hands-on operating experience within the biotechnology sector. The role requires a minimum of 10 years' experience, including a background in healthcare or life sciences investment banking, and senior finance leadership within a clinical-stage biotechnology environment. Key skills and experiences sought include a strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and public company financial infrastructure, as well as a proven track record in leading significant financings and building high-performing finance organizations. Experience in IPOs, SOX readiness, investor relations, M&A, and established relationships in the healthcare investment community are highly advantageous. The CFO will also be expected to provide executive oversight across HR, IT, and facilities, and to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, executive team, and Board.
