Child Psychologist

Minimum Qualifications Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: West Virginia – Licensed Psychologist, West Virginia Board of Examiners in Psychology Maryland – Licensed Psychologist, Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists State criminal background check and federal background check (as required for regulated areas) One (1) year of patient care experience (can include practicum and internship experience) Preferred Qualifications Advanced continuing education in clinical areas Two (2) years of patient care experience Core Duties and Responsibilities Provides direct clinical intervention services to individuals, couples, families and groups Provides psychological testing, evaluation, services, reports, and expert testimony in legal proceedings including probable cause and commitment hearings Completes all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner (case notes, reports, intakes, terminations, treatment plans, etc.) Responsible for preparation and monitoring of individual client behavior plans; oversees preparation and monitoring of client behavior management plans; evaluates client progress; supervises implementation of behavior management plans Collaborates with psychiatrists and other specialists in developing treatment programs for clients Provides case consultation and attends client team meetings as requested Maintains or exceeds performance standards set by administrative team Applies for and maintains the highest level of licensure or certification for which one is eligible; ensures continuation by acquiring the minimum hours of training or CEUs required Establishes knowledge of appropriate codes and keeps abreast of changes to maximize billing Completes and maintains the quantity and quality of documentation necessary to meet regulatory and organizational requirements Arranges for, documents and maintains participation in clinical supervision; provides clinical supervision as requested Physical Requirements Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling Ability to sit for long periods of time Working Environment Able to work in a variety of settings and possibly noisy environments Skills and Abilities Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints Ability to write and present speeches and articles for publication Ability to make persuasive presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, or boards Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, reliability determination, analysis of variance, correlation, sampling theory, and factor analysis Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of problems Ability to deal with verbal and nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases and to handle abstract and concrete variables Additional Job Description Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Shift: Exempt Compensation: $82,825.60 - $124,259.20 (based on 100% FTE; prorated if less) Company: GRMC Garrett Regional Medical Center Address: 69 Wolf Acres Drive, Oakland, Maryland Benefit Eligible Employees Classified as at least 0.5 for: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability Coverage, Tuition Program, Retirement, Paid Time Off, Wellness Program Equal Opportunity Employer West Virginia University Health System and its subsidiaries (collectively "WVUHS") is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
