Assistant General ManagerThe Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in directing the daily operations of their Andy's store in support of the Mission, Values and Culture while role modeling Andy's Standard of Excellence and taking ownership of functional responsibilities within the store. The Assistant General Manager assists in ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operations to include but not limited to: product preparation and delivery, customer service, facilities maintenance and financial accountability. This role accomplishes these objectives by actively selecting, training, and coaching the talent to achieve key results in Custard, Crew, and Customers.To be considered for this position you must be at least 18 years of age and have at least 1 year of management experience, quick service preferred.Benefits for Full Time Employees (30+ hours/week):Health, Vision, and Dental InsurancePrincipal Life InsurancePet Insurance401K with 4% MatchingDependent Care FSAPaid Time OffEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Custard:Responsible for all orders including adjusting pars during season changes and participating in monthly inventoryDeliver legendary customer service to all customers by using a "customer comes first" attitudeAssist with food ordering and deliveriesCorrect rotation of product (first in first out)Completes designated Food Safety and Training programs as prescribedCrew:Responsible for driving key performance indicators, sales and transaction growth, and overall profitability of the storeForm partnership with General Manager to serve together as the store's top leadershipEffectively lead the store and provide direction when the General Manager is not presentConstantly communicates with District Manager and Andy's home office as appropriatePerform all day-to-day tasks that is asked of our store crewDrive the implementation of company programs by following direction and established proceduresManage with the integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Andy's Frozen CustardPlan and communicate appropriate responsibilities and practices to crew members to ensure smooth flow of operationsAttend store management meetings, regional meetings, and company meetings as requestedAssists GM with monitoring and managing store staffing levels, and recruit as needed, according to current shift count needsInterview, hire, onboard, and follow training programs and progressAccurately forecast, schedule, and execute the labor model as designedHold one on ones, holding crew accountable and manage progressive discipline when necessaryPerform all cleaning duties expected of store crew, as well as power washing outside concreteBuild positive and professional relationships with store crew, leading by exampleExecute store operations, achieving maximum operational efficiency during scheduled shifts including store opening, shift change, closing, daily, weekly.Assist in managing at other locations as requestedMeet or exceed shift level key performance indicatorsEnsures that all health and safety regulations are being followedFollow and reinforce Andy's operational policies and proceduresFollow and reinforce Andy's Dress Code and Personal Appearance PolicyEnsure all vendor orders are accurate and completeCustomer:Display a "customer comes first" attitude by training and holding team accountable for delivering exceptional customer serviceUse B.L.A.S.T. to handle customer complaints and discuss reconciliation with store teamInvolved in local store marketing, attends chamber and fundraisers as neededUtilize operational tools to achieve maximum operational efficiency, i.e., Drive times, food costs, labor costs, etc.Always maintain all health and safety regulationsThe above cited duties and responsibilities describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to the job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that an incumbent may be expected or asked to perform.Education and Experience Requirements:Must have 1-2 years of proven management experience in the food service industry or leadership role in a related industry, or Andy's experienceMust be 18+ years of ageKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Can manage cash according to cash handling and banking policiesMust have reliable transportation to and from workMust be able to work 30+ hours per week, and have open availabilityMust be able to work late nights, weekends, as well as some holidays, including but not limited to memorial day, labor day, 4th of July, and EasterComplete training in all areas of store within designated amount of timeComplete all required tasks on Andy's training modules, and other programsMust be able to manage, effectively, in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to take direction and delegate responsibilitiesMust be able to use touch sensitive POS System tabletEffective oral communication skills and strong Interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain the Andy's culture/values at all times, even during moments of high stress
