Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist working in our Bellmore rehabilitation facility, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and collaborative work culture. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients referred by physicians to create individualized treatment plans addressing their specific needs.
• Implement and execute evidence-based treatment protocols, adapting methods as required to ensure optimal patient progress.
• Provide comprehensive therapeutic services, including physical rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education on recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to an interdisciplinary approach to care.
• Deliver care at various stages of recovery, offering tailored therapy solutions for orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their caregivers, ensuring clear understanding of treatment plans, exercises, and health management strategies.
• Track patient progress and document outcomes diligently to maintain compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Achieve minimum utilization goals and contribute to achieving organizational objectives through high-quality service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physical Therapist will involve working with a diverse array of patients ranging from pediatric cases with developmental challenges to elderly individuals recovering from surgeries and sports medicine patients seeking to improve performance. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Active state license in Physical Therapy, enabling you to practice in New York.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in word processing, documentation, and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
