Headquartered in Boston, Veolia has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across North America.Job DescriptionPosition Purpose:Provide instrument, controls, and electrical systems engineering support required to maintain all aspects of site instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems. Provide similar function in support of construction projects. Primary Duties /Responsibilities: Lead electrical and instrumentation projects and/or maintenance work to ensure compliance with the national electrical code and site permitsParticipate in the development of project design concepts and criteriaProvide and modify instrument and electrical drawings as neededWrite and/or modify programs used by site programmable logic controllers, programmable drives, human machine interfaces, and distributive control systemsPrepare electrical and instrumentation estimates for projectsAct as a project manager or proposal manager on small, electrical and instrumentation projectsMonitor project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budgetRepresent respective projects at meetings and conferencesProvide technical support for the facility’s instrument and electrical maintenance departmentQualificationsEducation / Experience / Background: 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar positionKnowledge / Skills / Abilities: Working knowledge of various PLC and computer software packagesFundamental understanding of the process safety management (PSM) standard is a plusAdditional InformationBenefits: Veolia’s comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
