CNC Operator 1st Shift

Job Description

CNC Operator 1st Shift Schedule: Monday-ThursdayHours: 6am-4:30pmPay: $20-$26 Hourly (Depends on Experience)
Candidate will have hands-on, tech school or CNC machining experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Experience with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls is strongly preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes, including QT, Nexus, Integrex, or similar machines.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.Load materials, install tooling, set offsets, and prepare machines for production.Make program adjustments using Mazatrol or G-code as needed.Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements.Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments.Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.Maintain accurate production records and job documentation.Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.Work with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency.
Qualifications:CNC lathe operating or setup experience preferred but not required, will train.Experience with Mazak CNC lathes and Mazatrol programming strongly preferred.Ability to perform machine setups, tool changes, and offset adjustments.Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.Understanding of machining speeds, feeds, and tooling.Experience using precision measuring instruments.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
