Sawgrass CPA Advisors is an expanding, advisory-focused CPA firm seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Advisory team.

You’ll work directly with our Accounting Advisory Manager , take ownership of client accounting and financial reporting, work directly with business owners and their teams, and help mentor developing staff.

What You’ll Do

• Own the monthly close process for assigned clients, including reconciliations, adjusting entries, and general ledger activity.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reporting .
• Review staff work, provide feedback, and help mentor developing accounting professionals.
• Analyze financial activity, investigate variances, and identify accounting issues before they become problems.
• Work directly with business owners and their teams to resolve accounting matters and provide insight beyond the numbers .
• Support and oversee AP, AR, payroll accounting, and cash management .
• Work with construction and project-based clients on job costing, WIP, project accounting, and cost coding .
• Partner with our Accounting Advisory Manager on financial analysis, client meetings, process improvements, technology, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with our tax team to keep client accounting accurate, tax-ready, and aligned with broader tax planning strategies .

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3–6 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
• Strong general ledger, month-end close, reconciliation, and adjusting-entry skills
• Strong QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online skills
• Strong Excel proficiency
• Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and recurring deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail, professional judgment, and communication skills
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients and reviewing the work of others
• Experience with privately held businesses preferred
• CPA firm, outsourced accounting/CAS, or construction accounting experience is a plus
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure preferred

Compensation & Benefits

$60,000–$80,000 , based on experience and qualifications, plus opportunities for discretionary performance-based bonuses .
