Quality Inspector - Precast Projects

Home District/Group: Northern California District Department: Quality Market: Transportation Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview Kiewit has a new Quality Inspector opportunity at our precast facility in Antioch. The role will be responsible for performing routine tests as required on raw materials, in process components and final product. The candidate will participate in the validation of tests, inspections, processing methods and materials qualifications. District Overview KIE-CON is a subsidiary of Kiewit, one of the largest engineering and construction organizations in North America. We provide clients with state-of-the-art operations to ensure the highest quality precast concrete projects. Location This position is located out of our precast facility in Antioch, CA. Responsibilities Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens Monitor production operations as required Other duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications Experience in quality assurance is preferred ACI / PCI Certification preferred (Highly desire a candidate who has attained the ACI) Field Technician Grade I or PCI Level I/II Certification) Experience with construction materials Basic computer skills Strong problem solving and communication skills Physical Requirements Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed Other Requirements: Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
