Position Purpose & Summary To greet and seat guests in the Dining Room in a prompt and courteous manner. To provide support to restaurant in order to ensure quality guest experience. Essential Functions: Maintain work schedule as assigned and communicate any necessary scheduling requirement to management in advance of schedule release. Complete required and suggested training to achieve maximum knowledge. Input all reservation information thoroughly this includes first and last name, telephone number. Tag all reservations appropriately as member, hotel guest or public guest. Required to look at all upcoming reservations for any special notes or needs, including large parties where tables will need to be combined. Give eye contact at 10 feet and greet and welcome all guests to the restaurant as soon as they walk withing 5 feet with a warm and friendly greeting. Ascertains the member/guests' dining needs by asking questions and listening to guests. Ask questions to inquire about special occasions, dietary restrictions, and allergies. Acknowledge any special occasions. Seats guests using our standards and manages open table keeping all information up to date. Print and deliver every reservation slip to the assigned server. Monitor's restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow. Monitor open dining sections for empty and cleaned tables. Quote appropriate wait times adding guests to wait list and seating them as soon as possible. Answer the telephone with appropriate greeting capturing all information accurately, including food orders when necessary. Responds to guest inquires and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. Maintain a clean and orderly area. Disinfects all menus that have been presented to guests. Complete opening and closing side work. Be prepared to speak about the offering of the entire Resort and Spa including services offered and hours of operation. Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc. Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points. Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Completes additional training as needed. Performs deep cleaning and organizing as assigned. Assists with the functions of other positions within the restaurant and across the resort as needed. Maintains proper functioning and cleaning of equipment used in dining room. Alerts management of any issue that has occurred with the reservations. Understand functions of departments across resort property. Articulates location of departments and services when required. Ability to work flexible schedule including required shifts on weekends, holidays and as business requires, Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction. Position Requirements: Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Customer Service Resolving conflict Teamwork Thoroughness Professionalism Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Prior restaurant or hotel experience preferred. License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Basic food handler certification and alcohol service certification (may be provided by organization upon acceptance of position). External and Internal Personal Contact: Communications: Daily – Verbal and Written Weekly – Emailed Schedule Occasionally – Participate in one-on-one coaching sessions. Teamwork and Collaboration: This position requires continuous teamwork as well as internal and cross-departmental communication.
