Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of assigned buildings and physical assets. This role ensures that the facilities function efficiently, safely, and in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The Supervisor will lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, managing daily operations to maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of facilities maintenance staff.
• Schedule and assign daily work activities to maintenance personnel, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Oversee and support staff in performing routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections of facility systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure all systems and equipment operate at peak efficiency.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring repairs are completed quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed.
• Ensure all work performed adheres to safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities to identify potential hazards and recommend improvements.
• Maintain ongoing communication with tenants, clients, owners, facility management team, and vendors.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.
• Assist in preparing and managing the department's budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and safety inspections.
• Generate reports on the condition of facilities, maintenance activities, and equipment performance for management review.
• Assist in planning and overseeing renovation and improvement projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and timelines.
• Work with contractors and vendors on large-scale facility improvement projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any Surgery Center Experience or Medical Building experience is preferred

• Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall, Painting, Schematic, Preventive maintenance, Facility maintenance, Facility, Blueprint, PLC troubleshooting, Boiler, Hospital facility, Healthcare industry

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
