Account Manager

Job Overview At Magna, you will work in a dynamic environment, helping to develop industry‑leading automotive technologies. The Account Manager will manage a book of business across three categories: Target Pursuit, Business in Development, and Business in Production. Responsibilities Target Pursuit Business: Create plans, lead development and execute customer strategies to secure targeted business. Lead and manage the quote process, ensure all customer deliverables are included, negotiate, obtain correct purchase orders and authorizations, recommend pricing strategies, manufacturing efficiencies, and maximize profits. Business in Development: Lead and manage the commercial elements on each program, identify and address commercial issues, ensure program deliverables and timing are understood by divisions and customers, recommend pricing and manufacturing efficiencies, and maximize profits. Business in Production: Lead and manage all commercial elements throughout launch and production, ensure program deliverables and timing are understood by divisions and customers, recommend pricing and manufacturing efficiencies, and maximize profits. Perform effective reviews of customer activities to identify opportunities for Magna. Coordinate communication on development and sales opportunities with the global team as needed. Communicate customer and supplier intelligence to management and business development teams. Follow up until all elements of a job/program/task are completed. Represent Magna with integrity and enthusiasm; build relationships of trust with customers, divisions, peers, and suppliers. Network effectively within the company to utilize resources. Collaborate with Business Development Leads to set goals and action plans for target pursuit. Ensure divisions are trained in customer processes and procedures. Support the entire sales team as required. Maintain effective communication and coordination with divisions. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Written and verbal English language skills. Minimum 5 years of automotive sales experience, preferably with Japanese OEMs. Engineers recommended; technically competent background. Physical demands: normal amount of sitting or standing; average mobility to move around an office; ability to conduct normal computer work.
