Job Summary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Memphis, Tennessee. The RN will supervise nursing support staff and participate in discharge planning and patient education. Job Details Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record. Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide patient and family education. Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and supervise ancillary staff. Contribute to a positive work environment through team‑building activities. Assume charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and pursue professional development. Demonstrate safety awareness and maintain compliance with hospital policies. Qualifications Required: Active nursing license in the state of Tennessee. Required: BLS certification prior to first shift. Required: ACLS certification (CIRH only) prior to first shift. Required: Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience. Preferred: Recent ICU experience.
