Estimator II

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. – Estimator II Responsibilities Fully responsible for the preparation and maintenance of bid documentation, traveling to job locations to confirm project site conditions, leading bid strategy and presentation discussions, monitoring awarded contracts for extra work, procurement of materials, credits, and similar items, and assisting field personnel in developing and recommending change orders. Ensures bid deadlines and customer presentation requirements are met while proactively identifying and suggesting solutions for known or anticipated construction problems to minimize cost and reduce risk, and provides insight to thought leadership in continuous improvement of methodology, tools and approaches via H&M Project Management practices. Interfaces with various internal and external stakeholders on planning and scheduling related items including reporting requirements, progress reporting, complaint schedules, and communicates effectively with client groups and team members. Qualifications Experience in estimating mid-scale projects and advanced knowledge of construction and utility industry practices. Experience with computerized bidding software and proficiency in MS Office applications. Completion of H&M PMM training and some formal Project Management coursework. Complex problem‑solving skills. Minimum Educational Background BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum Years Of Relevant Experience 5+ years.
