Part-Time PhlebotomistThree Trails Behavioral Hospital in the area of Independence, MO is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. This role is responsible for obtaining high-quality blood specimens while ensuring patient comfort and safety in a behavioral health setting.The Phlebotomist will:Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws accurately and efficientlyVerify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of specimensMaintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelinesPrepare and transport specimens to the appropriate laboratoryMonitor patients during and after collection to ensure comfort and safetyMaintain and stock phlebotomy supplies and equipmentAccurately document procedures in the electronic health record (EHR)Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to support patient careQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a phlebotomy training program requiredPhlebotomy certification (CPT, PBT, or equivalent) preferredMinimum of 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferredExperience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting is a plusStrong attention to detail and patient care skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in sensitive situationsEEO Statement: All UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
