Manufacturing Project Manager

Job Description

Job Description

Manufacturing Project Manager | Direct Hire | Cranberry Township, PA (Pittsburgh)

**Overview **

Mural Group is partnering with a global leader in metals industry plant design, technology, and capital equipment to place a Project Manager at their Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania office. This is a direct-hire opportunity with one of the most recognized names in the global metals equipment space, managing complex customer projects across the steel and metals industry. The search is flagged as extremely critical - the hiring team is ready to move quickly.

What You Will Be Doing

You will own the customer relationship and project lifecycle for a portfolio of complex capital equipment projects. Day to day this is a coordination and communication-heavy role - you are the primary point of contact for external customers, managing timelines, tracking project milestones, coordinating across engineering and technical service teams, ensuring deliverables stay on schedule, and keeping clients informed throughout the project. You will work closely with technical sales managers and may travel to visit client sites as projects require. You are the thread that connects the internal team to the customer from contract through delivery.

What You Bring

• Project management or project coordination experience in a capital equipment, heavy industrial, metals, or EPC environment - this is not a software or administrative PM role

• Direct customer-facing ownership - you have been the primary contact for external clients on complex, multi-stakeholder projects, not a supporting role behind someone else who holds the relationship

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at different stages simultaneously without things slipping

• Technical literacy sufficient to communicate credibly with engineers, technical service teams, and plant-side customers - you do not need to be an engineer, but you need to speak the language

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the organizational discipline to own a full project desk

• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed alongside technical and sales teams

Why This Move Makes Sense

• You manage projects for one of the two or three most prominent companies in the global metals equipment industry - the resume line speaks for itself

• The role carries real customer ownership from day one, not a supporting function behind a senior PM

• You gain exposure to the full capital project lifecycle across some of the most sophisticated steel and metals installations in North America

• Cranberry Township puts you in the center of western Pennsylvania’s industrial and engineering community, with a company that has roots in the region and a global footprint

What the client offers

• Direct hire -- no temp period, no conversion

• Medical, dental, and vision coverage

• Life and disability insurance

• 401(k) with employer match

• Paid time off accrual

• Career growth within a global industrial organization
