The Toddler Teacher is responsible for nurturing and educating children aged 1-3, 4-5 years in a supportive and engaging environment. The role involves creating lesson plans using a mixed methods curriculum, managing the daily schedule, and facilitating activities that promote fun and development. The teacher typically manages classes of 4 or 10 children, focusing on care routines such as diaper changing, singing, finger plays, and interactive play. Minimal interaction with parents is expected, while lesson planning is supported with print and digital resources.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive childcare for toddlers aged 1-3 years
• Create and implement lesson plans incorporating mixed teaching methods
• Manage and follow the daily schedule of activities
• Conduct diaper changing and assist with hygiene needs
• Lead singing, finger plays, and other interactive activities
• Supervise playtime ensuring safety and engagement
• Monitor and support children’s behavior and development
• Communicate minimally with parents regarding child progress

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in early childhood education
• Coursework in Early Childhood Education or related fields
• Knowledge of lesson planning, child development, and behavior management
• Strong communication skills and creativity
• Patience and ability to work effectively in a team environment
