Entry Level Business Development Representative (BDR)

Series A Fintech | New York City | In office 5 days | $120K to $150K OTE

Got your degree and want a first sales job that pays properly and teaches you fast? We’re hiring entry level BDRs for a Series A fintech in New York. No sales experience needed.

They sell to the trades and local businesses: HVAC contractors, auto dealers, pharmacies, vet clinics. Most of these owners still run their money on paper invoices and spreadsheets.

This company puts it all in one platform: accounts, bill pay, cards and expenses, with AI doing the admin. For most customers it’s the first fintech product they’ve ever used.

So you’d be calling business owners who have a real problem, with a product that solves it.

The role

• Outbound sales. You’re on the phone every day with business owners, opening conversations and closing the smaller deals yourself.
• In the office with the team. 5 days a week in Manhattan, right next to the people closing deals.
• Learn by doing. No weeks stuck in a classroom. You’re selling early, picking it up from the team around you, with time with the sales leader every day.
• High intensity. This team works hard, puts in long days and stays late when it counts. They’re paid well for it.
• Judged on results. Deals closed, revenue and qualified meetings, not how many dials you made.

What we need

You don’t need sales experience. You do need to be hungry.

• A degree in finance, economics or marketing.
• Real work experience from high school or college. Bartending, serving, retail, a sales internship, a job you held down while studying. We want to see you already know how to work.
• You want to win. You’re competitive, maybe you played sport at a high level, and you want to make serious money and are ready to outwork people to get it.
• The phone doesn’t scare you. Cold calling all day is the job and you’re up for it.
• You don’t need hand holding. Nobody is going to chase you, so you run your own day.
• You’re sharp. You pick things up quickly and you’re comfortable talking numbers.

Comp

$120K to $150K OTE ($60K to $75K base), 50/50 split, uncapped commission.
