About the Role

We're hiring a Business Development Representative to drive new merchant relationships for our funding pipeline. This is a phone-forward, high-volume role: you'll work sourced and self-generated lead lists, qualify small business owners on their capital needs, and hand off funding-ready deals to our underwriting and closing team.

This is not an entry-level seat. We're looking for someone who already knows the MCA world — who understands what a funder is looking for, what a merchant is nervous about, and how to have both conversations in the same call.

What You'll Do

• Run daily outbound calling sessions through our HubSpot + Orum dialer stack, working aged, live-transfer, and self-sourced lead lists
• Qualify merchants on time in business, monthly deposits, existing positions, industry, and credit profile
• Collect and review submission packages — application, bank statements, and supporting documents — and confirm they're complete before handoff
• Maintain clean, current records in HubSpot: dispositions, call notes, follow-up tasks, and pipeline stages
• Build and work a follow-up book of merchants who aren't ready today but will be in 30, 60, or 90 days
• Coordinate with underwriting and processing to move approvals toward funding
• Hit weekly activity and submission targets, and report on pipeline in team standups

What You Bring

Required:

• Minimum 6 months of experience in the merchant cash advance space (BDR, ISO rep, closer, or processor)
• Working knowledge of MCA fundamentals: factor rates, holdbacks, positions, stacking, ACH vs. split funding, and standard stipulations
• Comfort with high-volume outbound calling — 100+ dials per day
• Experience working leads inside a CRM (HubSpot preferred)
• Strong phone presence and the ability to hold a consultative conversation with a business owner
• Organized, self-directed, and able to manage a follow-up pipeline without being chased

Nice to have:

• Existing ISO or broker relationships
• Experience with power or parallel dialers (Orum, Kixie, Aircall, PhoneBurner)
• Familiarity with underwriting criteria across multiple funder tiers
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Compensation

• Base salary: $40,000 to $60,000
• Commission: a tiered commission structure
• Commission is uncapped and paid on [funded deals / monthly gross revenue — specify cycle]
