Overview Job Title: HR Associate Job Location: Onsite in Vienna, VA Employment Type: Full-Time/Exempt Job Description: Syneren is currently seeking a HR Associate . The ideal candidate thrives in a team atmosphere, takes pride in his/her work, and is committed to a highly proactive, process-driven approach. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Associate to join our Human Resources team. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional who is passionate about supporting employees, improving HR processes, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. You will work closely with HR leadership across recruitment, onboarding, records management, benefits administration, and employee support. Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Support Post job openings on internal and external platforms Review resumes and conduct initial candidate outreach Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communication Assist with reference checks and background screenings Onboarding & Offboarding Prepare new-hire paperwork and ensure timely completion Support new-hire orientation and onboarding activities Set up employee profiles in internal systems Process terminations and maintain accurate offboarding documentation HRIS & Employee Data Management Maintain and update employee records Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance Benefits Administration Support Assist employees with benefits enrollment and general inquiries Coordinate with benefits providers on eligibility and changes Employee Relations & HR Support Serve as a first point of contact for general HR questions Escalate employee concerns to HR leadership as appropriate Assist with documentation for employee relations matters Compliance & Policy Administration Maintain I-9 files and support internal audits Ensure completion of required trainings and compliance tasks Assist with HR policy implementation and communication HR Projects & Process Improvements Support HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, DEI programs, and wellness events Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance HR operations Other Duties Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 1–3 years of HR experience preferred Familiarity with HR records management Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Why Join Us Opportunity to grow your HR career in a supportive environment Exposure to multiple HR functions and cross-department collaboration A culture that values teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement Support Business Development team as required Preferred Qualifications 2-5 years of related work experience Excellent organization, written and verbal skills Working Conditions Standard office environment.
