Contracts Specialist (In-House | Hybrid | Full-or Part-Time Contract) Our client is a premier, publicly traded energy infrastructure and logistics company headquartered in Austin, Texas. The legal department reflects the company culture of fast-paced, high-growth with the financial stability of a billionaire market leader. The company is seeking temporary legal support to assist its in-house legal team with sourcing, negotiating, and executing key commercial agreements for several large, high-value projects. This role will focus on procurement and supply chain, vendor and customer agreements involving complex and significant dollar values. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has prior experience working within a legal department. Responsibilities This role may be part-time (at least 20 hours a week) or full-time and is expected to last at least several months. A hybrid schedule is preferred, with at least two days per week in the office in Austin; remaining days may be worked remotely. The Contracts Specialist will manage contracts through the full lifecycle—from first-line review and MSA drafting through negotiation, execution, and coordination with internal stakeholders. Qualifications Significant experience reviewing, negotiating, and completing multi-million dollar contracts Paralegal or Legal Operations experience with a large company Prior experience supporting an in-house legal department in a contracts, paralegal, or legal operations role Judgement and professionalism to work directly with business teams, especially procurement and supply chain Exceptional analytical and organizational skills Position Details Type of role: Temporary In-House Contracts Administrator Schedule: Full time Location: Hybrid in Austin Compensation Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
