Global Category Sr. Manager - Business Intelligence

Amgen seeks a Global Category Senior Manager for Business Intelligence to lead procurement strategy and supplier partnerships across marketing and commercialization functions. This remote role emphasizes strategic advisorship, value realization, and cross-functional collaboration to position procurement as an organizational driver.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor on market dynamics, supplier capabilities, and category strategies to commercialization organization
• Develop and implement business strategies leveraging market intelligence aligned with category objectives
• Forge strategic relationships with Global and US Marketing partners to ensure alignment on priorities
• Partner with suppliers to co-create innovative solutions that drive business objectives
• Collaborate with Finance to quantify value, influence budgeting decisions, and measure category impact on business outcomes

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years business partnering/marketing experience, or equivalent education and experience combination
• Background in Business Intelligence procurement within biotech or pharma industry
• Advanced analytical skills with expertise in performance measurement and value quantification
• Demonstrated ability to lead and align global, matrixed teams across functions and geographies
• Strong change management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Experience with commercialization contracting frameworks or sourcing excellence practices
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
