• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,220 - $1,310
• Travel Eligibility: Open to travel candidates living 100+ miles from the facility

Job Requirements

• Current full, unrestricted CNA license in Alaska at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of prior CNA experience preferred in acute care or hospital settings
• Ability to work in a rapid-paced healthcare environment and remain calm during emergencies
• Willingness to complete unit-specific training and pass required courses related to point-of-care testing and other unit needs
• Ability to lift, turn, and assist non-ambulatory patients as part of daily patient care
• 2 fingerprint cards required upon acceptance

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to acutely ill and non-acute patients under the direction of a licensed nurse
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and mobility support
• Take and document vital signs, blood sugars, pulse oximetry, intake and output, weight, and other routine observations
• Support patient comfort and safety by answering call lights, repositioning patients, and assisting with meals, toileting, and transport
• Collect and transport specimens as directed
• Maintain clean, safe patient rooms and work areas, including linen management and supply stocking
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and emergency readiness tasks
• Obtain 12-lead ECGs and participate in telemetry monitoring support as trained
• Cross-train to additional hospital areas as needed to support staffing flexibility
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and support a collaborative care environment
