Production Associate

Job Description Position Title: Production Associate Pay Rate: $20.46 Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time –Rotating Shifts –24 hour operation Physical Location: International Paper, 204 Southpark Road, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508 We are a fast paced, industrial environment. These jobs are rewarding, both personally and financially to people who work safe, like to run machinery at designed speeds, solve mechanical problems on the fly and want to be a part of a very successful operation. The Job You Will Perform Assist Machine Operators in operating machines that convert, corrugate, band,print/cut and feed product Train to become Machine Operators May train to operate specialized Powered Industrial Trucks/Equipment Utilize basic shop math and read factory orders and machine instructions Accurately complete quality and administrative documents and follow directions This person will also be assigned to clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up and shredding scrap.
