Injection Molding Machine OperatorShift work to operate injection molding machines (IMM) and other mechanical units producing products for a variety of industries. Responsibilities include operating injection molding machines, conducting quality checks, ensuring good housekeeping and other secondary work as required. The desirable candidate must be able to work with others in a fast-paced environment, have a strong work ethic and high attention to detail.Attention to detailCommunication and basic reportingAbility to take inhouse continuing educationActive listening and learning including continual advancement in Routsis Molding TrainingBasic math and reasoningComputer skills to include ROC40 App and ERP useFollow safety policies and proceduresLog into ROC 40 for machine assignment and maintain awareness of hourly scrap rateUnderstand and perform quality measurements and checksMaintain operations of multiple machines and document production and downtime codes via IQMSTroubleshoots specific machinery operating deficiencies to maximize utilizationPerforms material moisture analysisCleans dryers, organizes injection molding-cells and stages next run with material and packagingAssembles and packages finished goods according to work standards found in Green BinderPerforms secondary operations which includes pad printing, inspecting rework and other miscellaneous tasksUnderstand use of Production Folders, Quality Standards & Press BasicsDemonstrate ability to accurately maintain Production Work Order count sheetPlastic molding injection knowledge through completion of Routsis coursesCompletion of monthly safety modules each monthShows proficiency in cell setup, recording product counts, rejects, and scrapsShows proficiency in IMM troubleshooting and progress in injection molding aptitudePer requirements in our ITAR-regulated government contract, this position is restricted to U.S. persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees, and refugees) due to the need to access controlled technology.
