JOB SUMMARY: The Meat Clerk's role is to assist and support the Meat Department -- by providing a high level of customer service and practice safe food handling procedures and performs a variety of tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Will have stocking and merchandising responsibilities in both the fresh and frozen cases. Update Product pricing as necessary. Ensures product's quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers. Rewrap meat packages as needed. Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements. Maintains pork rind rack clean and organized. Keeps meat displays clean and presentable. Store cleaning supplies properly. 5:00 am start time. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS: The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met or successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud. Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Walk and work in Freezer and Refrigerator Cooler as needed throughout the day.
