Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit - PCU Job Type: Full-Time | Nights Schedule: 12 hour shifts | 6:45pm-7am Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus with 2 or more years of experience. ***New hires and those who have been away from the organization for 2 years or more. More about our team At Canyon Vista Medical Center, our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) serves as a vital bridge between intensive care and medical-surgical services, providing advanced monitoring and specialized treatment for patients who require a higher level of care. As part of our Critical Care Services, the PCU is an 12-bed step-down unit supported by experienced clinicians, advanced technology, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. How You'll Contribute Essential Functions RN performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Detects change in patient status, reports to appropriate health care team member and utilizes resources as dictated by the acuity. Assigns priorities to the patient's problems with highest priority given to problems that are most urgent and critical. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. What we're looking for: Applicants should have a current Arizona or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred. Must have an active AZ or Compact RN License. 1 to 2 years of experience preferred. Must obtain ACLS within 90 days of hire. More About Canyon Vista Medical Center People are our passion and purpose.
