Litigation Legal Secretary | Insurance Defense | Hybrid | Houston, TX

LHH is partnering with a well-established insurance defense law firm in Houston seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to support a busy team of civil litigation attorneys. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working alongside multiple attorneys on complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation support experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing deadlines, court filings, and attorney workflows. Responsibilities Provide administrative and litigation support to a team of 4+ attorneys Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents for attorney review Manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, court dates, and client meetings Handle electronic filing in Texas state and federal courts, including eFileTexas and NextGen Process invoices, expense reports, vendor payments, and related administrative tasks Enter attorney time and maintain billing records using legal billing software Run conflict checks, open new client matters, and assist with file maintenance and closures Coordinate communications with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and legal vendors Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including phone calls, emails, and mail Assist attorneys with a high-volume litigation docket while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Qualifications 5+ years of recent litigation legal secretary experience within a law firm Advanced understanding of litigation procedures and court rules Experience with electronic filing in both state and federal courts Strong drafting, proofreading, grammar, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with document management systems, preferably iManage Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines Excellent communication and client service skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Typing speed of 65+ WPM Why Consider This Opportunity?
