This individual will work with our existing medical and operational leaders to ensure that policies are aligned, incidents are analyzed and responded to in a consistent manner, and medical operations are effective, safe and within medical scope.PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Care coordination and service deliveryOversees all facility medical line staff including RN Supervisors, RNs, Psychiatric RNs, LPNs, Health Coordinators and Medical Assistants as applicable.Reviews Credible clinical files to ensure there is coordination of all resident physical/behavioral healthcare services on the nursing units, including telehealth, clinic, outside/visiting provider appointments, transportation, and educational services.Ensure high level of cross-departmental communication and collaboration for continuity of care.Ensure proper policy and procedures, forms and other materials needed to consistently perform the functions of the units are in place, up-to-date, and reviewed as needed for relevance and compliance in collaboration with Organizational leadership and Clinical Practice Manager.Add, evaluate or change services as needed to meet the changing needs of the population and organization.Maintain quality of care consistent with or exceeding standards set by Washington StateCollaborate with community partners to ensure mutual coordination of care needs are addressed.Resource management and deploymentOversees the development and functionality of medical services including the hiring and training of medical services staff, in partnership with Organizational leadership and Clinical Practice Manager.Provide medical consultation to RN Supervisors and/or Health Services Managers to include review of program procedures, technical assistance and coaching, and advisement of best practices in consultation with Organizational leadership and Clinical Practice Manager.Collaborate with Organizational leadership, Clinical Practice Manager.and QI to implement and approve program policies and procedures as directed and consult on the development and improvement of policies and procedures that maximize the safety and welfare of the residents, staff and visitors to the programAssist with knowledgeable medical program development, and staff trainingas warranted.Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines.As applicable, investigate and complete follow-up on Incident Reports, Medication Compliance Forms, and Medication Error Forms. Report all staff incidents and concerns to, Compliance, the appropriate supervisor and/or Human Resources.In collaboration with program leadership, implement necessary quality and inventory control procedures to ensure needs are met, including adequate medication/supplies at all times, error/incident tracking abilities.Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure units are properly staffed and responsible fiscal management is practiced.Review performance measurement data with the Clinical Practice Manager and continually work to collect, analyze, and disseminate program data to improve service quality.Coordinate closely and collaboratively with representatives of the support functions of PHS including Client & Community Services, Behavioral Health/Treatment, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Communications on an as needed basis or per the request of the director.Attend PHS meetings as appropriate or upon request and participate in work groups and committees organized by senior leadership and other external agencies as appropriate. Attend stakeholder and partner meetings and events as needed.Deliver presentations as needed to enhance program reputation and further integrate the program within the community-at-large.Demonstrates leadership presence and accessibility to support teams in a 24/7 care environment, ensuring continuity of operations and alignment with organizational values.Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of serviceEnsure all necessary notifications are completed for the units.Ensure all information is accurate and updated from intake to discharge for continuity of careRecord routine case notes and touch points documenting progress and servicesReview reports with team to identify service gaps and necessary support servicesWhat you'll bring (required qualifications):Registered Nurse (RN) must be in good standing with department of health with no restrictionsAA degree in related field (BA/BS desirable)3-5 years of relevant management and staff development experience.3-5 years of relevant RN experienceQualified as Psychiatric RNFirst Aid/CPR certification before first independent shift.High level of written/verbal communication, customer services skills, efficiency with independent task management and ability to show attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, outlook, and Internet navigation.Knowledge of electronic records management and ability to implement and facilitate training of necessary electronic processes.Verified experience and knowledge of confidentiality regulationsAbility to create and deliver curriculum and staff development material.Two years of experience working with marginalized populationsMust satisfactorily pass tuberculosis (TB) testPreferably you'll bring (preferred/desirable qualifications):Master's degree in nursingEEOPioneer human services is an equal opportunity employer of minorities/women/individuals with disabilities/protected veterans and does not unlawfully discriminate under federal, state, or local laws.
