This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility.Summary of Position:The Learning & Development Specialist plays a critical role in the onboarding, learning and development of our team. The position is responsible for creating, delivering and continually improving trainings on a variety of topics, in a variety of ways. This position requires financial institution knowledge, adult learning acumen, and excellent communication and presentation skills. The Learning and Development Specialist is also responsible for staying current with technology and learning-method knowledge.The successful candidate should have following skills/qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Project Management, Human Resources or other relevant area preferred.At least 2 years of training experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of training and development practices and methods including needs assessment and instruction design for instructor led, virtual, online, and blended trainingKnowledge of learning theories and principles including adult learning theoryAbility to organize and manage multiple projectsProfessional written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and technology in generalExperience with blended learning approach and eLearning tools preferredDemonstrated flexibility, adaptability and on-the-job leadership skillsEnthusiastic about adult learningKey Responsibilities:Developing, coordinating, and presenting quality, engaging and enthusiastic training sessions both in person and virtually.Design up to date training Prepare training materials in the areas of sales, service, and general credit union concepts.Survey and identify needs for ongoing organizational development.Update stakeholders with progress and priorities of learning.Manage the company-wide Learning Management System.Translate the needs of the business into effective learning solutions.Assist in the development and implementation of new/updated operationalBeing a team member of IHMVCU is more than just a job, we want to make differences in the communities we live in and serve.
