Human Resources InternJoin Modern Woodmen of America as a Human Resources Intern and gain hands-on experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, and HR operations. This internship offers meaningful project work, professional mentorship, and exposure to a broad range of HR functions. You'll collaborate with experienced HR professionals while contributing to initiatives that support Modern Woodmen's employees, leaders, and organizational goals.Modern Woodmen of America is one of the nation's largest fraternal benefit societies, with assets over $18 billion. They unite individuals with common bonds, provide a variety of life insurance and investment products, and form one of the nation's most effective volunteer networks.Responsibilities:Assist with recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking.Support onboarding and orientation activities for new employees.Collaborate with HR team members on process improvement initiatives and special projects.Gain exposure to a variety of HR disciplines through meetings, events, and cross-functional partnerships.Conduct research on HR trends and best practices.What We Need:Student pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources management, business management, or related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn.What We Offer:Internship program information: Modern Woodmen's summer internships are ideal for current college students interested in exploring the financial services industry. The program offers an opportunity for students to gain real-life work experience related to their studies while connecting with a mentor in their field.Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $20.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employment-based sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time, nor can we guarantee future sponsorship.Work Arrangements: This is a full-time, 11-week summer internship position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday-Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Office focused positions work on-site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.Stability: Modern Woodmen has been Modern Since 1883® and exists for our members.
